Father's Day 2010

For the past 25 years I have celebrated Father's Day for my Daddy.  After all, I am a daddy's girl.  When my parents got divorced when I was 6 years old, I lived with my Dad.  He's pretty much been my whole world.  There isn't anything I didn't have, need, or want when I was growing up.  He instilled important values in me even though I was spoiled rotten.

This year I'll be celebrating Father's Day for him and for my husband.  Like me, Elise is a daddy's girl too.  To see them together always puts a smile on my face.  You can see how each one of their faces light up when they see each other.  Jason works hard everyday to take care of her and me.  He will go without before either one of us will.  The other day while driving, I saw this on the billboard of a local church:

"Fathers, remember your sons will follow your example, not your advice."

I'm pretty sure that applies to daughters too, and Jason is the perfect example for our daughter.  He gives selflessly to help everyone, and always puts everyone before himself.  He's a hard worker, and shows his love for her and me everyday.  I wouldn't complain if Elise grew up to be just like him.

In honor of Jason's first Father's Day I made him this video:
