Today was our first sonogram to finally get to see our baby! We now know our little one is a very active and flexible little girl! She was moving around everywhere. You can see her little feet and little girl parts in the ultrasound pictures. It maybe a little hard to tell but in some of them she has a thumbs up (an Aggie fan already according to her Daddy), she's got her hand on her nose, her knee in her face, and her hand on her butt in another one!
She weighs 11oz and is almost the size of a coke can. Our sonogram tech thought we oughta play 11 in the lottery since she's 11 oz and due on 11/11/2009. They got pictures and measurements of her head, brain, stomach, kidneys, and heart. Everything looks good. Once we saw her little brain on the screen we knew right away she was a girl! My dad and Lori met us there so they could see her on the screen. They were really excited too.
Following the sonogram I had an appointment with Dr. Appel. Everything looked good there too. My blood pressure was 104/62, and I had lost 2 pounds. The baby's heart rate was about 150bpm this time. My doctor wasn't concerned about the weight loss. She said that just happens sometimes. She told me I will need to stop every 2 hours or so to get out and walk around when we drive to and from Missouri this weekend. It is going to be so hot up there and I have already been miserably hot here. I am not looking forward to next couple of months of being HOT to say the least!
